WATCH: gameplay trailer for ‘LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was announced over a year ago. Ever since then, Star Wars fans – those who enjoy playing LEGO video games in particular – have been extremely eager to learn more about how the entire 9-movie Skywalker Saga will come to life within a video game in LEGO form. Last week, as part of the Gamescom 2020 Opening Night live stream, a brand new gameplay trailer was shown for the game. Check out the trailer below!

The above trailer shows fans the classic LEGO humor that we all know and love, along with some fun gameplay tidbits. From the looks of this game, it almost feels like a culmination of sorts that ties all parts of The Skywalker Saga together and makes the story lines feel more linear than they already are. An example of that can be noticed in the trailer when there’s a shift from original trilogy footage, to sequel footage, and Yoda says, “No, there is another.” After that, Rey shows up on the screen. To me, this ties in the fact that Rey took on Luke’s legacy.

This upcoming video game title isn’t the only reason why it’s a great time to be a LEGO Star Wars fan right now – Lucasfilm has also announced that on November 17th, there will be a LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special premiering on Disney Plus!

LEGO Star Wars:  The Skywalker Saga will be released during Spring 2021.
