We got the chance to chat with Shelley Smartly and Floyd Strayer, the amusing duo behind the new comedy series “The Smartlys!”

Shelley has a really interesting background – she is is the retired Founder and President of the former nonprofit International Scleroderma Network, which tackled rare forms of arthritis. She’s also co-editor of the Voices of Scleroderma book trilogy. After the loss of her husband to leukemia, she needed to laugh again – so teamed up with Floyd Strayer to create the new comedy series “The Smartlys.”

The San Diego-based streaming comedy TV series tells of a couple, Eric and Shelley Smartly, who win $300 million, retire as King and Queen of the Minnesota Renaissance Faire, and buy their son’s luxury beachfront complex in La Jolla. Everyone schemes, nonstop, to inherit the Smartly fortune!

“The Smartlys” is the winner of Best Web/TV Series in the 1st Monthly Film Festival, the feel good series has been lauded for its passion and laughs.
