Ellie is a main character in the post-apocalyptic third-person shooter series consisting of, The Last of Us, the DLC prequel, The Last of Us: Left Behind, and The Last of Us Part II. In The Last of Us, a romantic relationship is implied between Ellie and Riley, a young girl who befriends Ellie in Boston. In The Last of Us: Left Behind, the relationship is confirmed when the two share a kiss. In The Last of Us Part II, Ellie is older and living in a self-sustaining compound. She begins a romantic relationship with Dina, a young woman who is part of the compound’s group responsible for clearing “infected” from the nearby areas.

The Mass Effect series is a sci-fi third-person role-playing shooter series that follows Commander Shepard, who is customizable by the player. The player has the option of choosing the gender, appearance, and first name of Commander Shepard. Same-sex or opposite-sex relationships with various characters are encountered throughout the course of the game. Most notably, while playing as female Shepard, you can have a relationship with Dr. Liara T’Soni, an Asari alien, and Specialist Samantha Traynor, who works on the commander’s ship.
