AMC Releases Extended Trailer for ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Ahead of Mid-season Premiere

Yesterday, AMC released a trailer showcasing footage from the second half of Fear the Walking Dead’s sixth season. This trailer extends a similar promo that was released in November after the series’ mid-season finale premiered.

Fear the Walking Dead’s mid-season finale ended with some of the series’ most prominent characters (Morgan, Alicia, and others) getting ready to take down Virginia’s group. Virginia – this season’s main villain – has been manipulating most of the series’ other characters, thus, turning some of them against each other. Check out the trailer below!

In a recent press release, AMC provided a synopsis for these upcoming episodes of the series. The synopsis is below.

“As Morgan’s (Lennie James) bid to free the remaining members of the group becomes bolder, Virginia (Colby Minifie) grows increasingly desperate to find her sister and protect the settlements from forces working inside and outside her walls. The second half of Season Six reveals the impact of what living under Virginia’s control has done to each person in this group, who once saw themselves as a family. New alliances will be formed, relationships will be destroyed, and loyalties forever changed. When everyone is forced to take sides, they discover the meaning of, ‘The End is the Beginning.'”

Personally, this story line is reminding me of when Negan was the main villain in The Walking Dead. However, I think Fear the Walking Dead is handling this type of storyline in a way that’s even more well done. Therefore, I’m hoping for that tone to continue throughout the second half of Season 6 of Fear, and this trailer makes it look like that will indeed happen.

When Fear the Walking Dead returns, John Glover, Nick Stahl, and Keith Carradine will have joined the cast. Aisha Tyler directed episode 13 of this season. Fear the Walking Dead will return on AMC on April 11th. AMC+ subscribers will gain access to each episode early every week.
